A Sheltered and More Private Outdoor Space for the School
The school required a practical covered area that would provide protection from wind and unwanted views while remaining convenient to use. The solution needed to fit the existing site and work around structures that were already in place.
AVC Build developed a made-to-measure freestanding aluminium shelter with a black frame and a clear polycarbonate roof. The transparent roof covering protects the area from rain while allowing daylight to reach the space below. A vertically oriented aluminium Diamond-shaped wall provides additional wind protection and privacy without enclosing the shelter completely.
Installation on Prepared Concrete Foundations
The client prepared concrete foundations for the front supports before installation. AVC Build anchored U-profiles to these foundations and installed the front aluminium posts into them. At the rear, the shelter posts were mounted on top of the existing concrete wall using the same secure fixing principle.
Access along the rear fixing line was restricted because a metal fence was already installed on the concrete wall. The installation was therefore carefully planned and completed without damaging the existing fence or surrounding structures.
AVC Build completed the design, made-to-measure supply, delivery and professional installation of the shelter. The finished structure provides a durable covered area for the school and is supported by a 10-year structural warranty.
