Year-Round Glass-Roof Pergola in Leixlip
The homeowner wanted to create a protected area immediately beside the house that could be used throughout the year without being limited by Ireland’s frequent rain and changing weather. A wall-mounted pergola with a fixed transparent roof provided the required shelter while keeping the rear elevation and patio naturally bright.
The black aluminium frame was designed specifically for the available space between the two existing boundary walls. The front support posts were intentionally positioned close to these walls, allowing the existing structures to provide additional protection from side winds without requiring separate side panels.
AVC Build prepared the required post holes and secured the support posts permanently in concrete. The position of the structure was carefully planned to preserve access through the patio doors and around the outdoor equipment already installed beside the house.
The transparent safety glass roof allows daylight to reach the covered area and the rooms behind it while providing permanent overhead protection from rain. Rainwater is managed through the drainage system integrated into the aluminium structure.
