Weatherproof Installation Against an Uneven Exterior Wall
The homeowner wanted to cover the existing wooden terrace and create a more comfortable place to sit outside in changing weather. A wall-mounted layout made practical use of the available space directly outside the rear doors without enclosing the terrace from the garden.
The house wall had a highly uneven decorative stone finish, which required careful detailing where the pergola met the building. The connection and adjoining areas were fitted and sealed to follow the irregular surface, creating a reliable weather-resistant junction without changing the character of the existing exterior.
A fixed laminated safety glass roof provides protection from rain while allowing daylight to reach the terrace and the rooms behind it. The black aluminium frame creates a clean contrast with the existing house and boundary finishes.
