Covered Courtyard Canopy at Meelick Primary School
The school required a durable covered area within an enclosed courtyard. The new canopy provides permanent overhead protection while preserving the open layout, visibility and access between the surrounding school buildings.
The made-to-measure structure was designed around the available courtyard space and existing building elevations. Its black aluminium frame creates a defined covered area without enclosing the courtyard with additional walls.
A fixed polycarbonate roof covers the central outdoor area while allowing daylight to continue reaching the courtyard and adjacent parts of the school. Rainwater is managed through the drainage system integrated into the aluminium structure.
The sides remain completely open, maintaining movement through the courtyard and retaining clear visibility across the covered area.
The client completed the required base preparation before installation. AVC Build then completed the 3D design, made-to-measure supply, delivery, assembly and professional installation of the structure.
