AVC Build designed, supplied, delivered and professionally installed this large made-to-measure wall-mounted aluminium carport at a residential property in Dublin. The structure extends along the side of the house to create a substantial covered area for vehicle parking and storage.
A transparent polycarbonate roof provides permanent overhead weather protection while allowing daylight into the long covered area. The carport remains open-sided, maintaining straightforward vehicle access along the driveway.

Large Covered Parking Area Alongside the House
This Dublin project required a considerably larger covered area than a standard single-car carport. The available space extended along the side of the house, allowing a long wall-mounted structure to be designed around the existing driveway and property layout.
The carport is attached directly to the house along one side and supported by aluminium posts along the outer edge. This configuration keeps the central parking area free from unnecessary supports and preserves straightforward access for vehicles.
A transparent polycarbonate roof provides continuous protection from rainfall while allowing natural daylight into the covered space. This is particularly useful on a long wall-mounted structure where a fully opaque roof could make the area beside the house considerably darker.
The structure was intentionally left open-sided. No aluminium walls, glazing or screens were required, allowing vehicles to enter and leave the covered parking area without additional restrictions.
Rainwater is handled by the drainage system integrated into the carport structure. The base was prepared by the client before installation, while AVC Build completed the design, made-to-measure supply, delivery and professional installation.
